QUALCHE RISULTATO

Figure semplici come transizioni e perfino lavorare sull’alt.

Lasciate avanzare i vostri cavalli.

Dressage-jumping obstacles.
The first thing that impresses about  the 36-year-old rider  is the kindness, the elegance, the affability, the strong gift of communicative with the people, the extreme professionalism, the competence. You see right away that he has great talent with horses, loves them, he knows them thoroughly, has great passion and feeling with this wonderful animal. After all, Christopher have the horses in his DNA : his mother is a famous horse woman in Australia and since childhood,  his young life  has been tied to double thread with horses . Which Coach "Burto" has a great desire to donate generously to students as it knows: it is very ready to explain, to clarify, to deepen, it comes in detail but with a few simple brush strokes that do not disturb the practical flow  of the lesson. "I love to teach," said the Queensland boy during the   break at 12 a.m,  after a busy morning of work all about dressage.

"I've kept it in the past and I keep clinics all over the world. It is very interesting to see and meet the different cultures in each country. In Italy I have to say that there is a very good "clinic mentality", that is, every rider  quickly seeks to understand and learn and to carry the right thing. I have to say that this kind of mentality is very much in Western Australia and in America, in this last country for example, they are very happy to come in contact with high-level instructors. " As for the dressage work phase, Mr.Burton stressed that "making a group work on dressage discipline is quite complicated. In the afternoon we will work agile in jumping  in the group and this will be convenient. It's hard to pay enough attention to everyone working flat with a group of students. " What we could admire from the field board was a great review, a real check up of pairs  who were called to show step by Step some salient moments  of the flat  work. A very simple and standard warm up from the first trot  without hastening the gait but  activating the back well with comfortable neck , small leg yelding, shoulder in the inside correcting with plenty of corners and lines of execution, a beautiful pre-exercise for  execution of the  half pass : diagonal in the travers thinking of going straight, it transforms by adding the detail of the inner leg around which the horse flexes, a very well rested half pass.
So much attention to using the body of the rider, the  center of gravity lines "when I teach I try to be really very simple and clear. I try to be very "basic". The purpose for what I am called is to help not confuse the pairs ! And again I repeat that teamwork is very difficult, if there is someone with special problems to work on, it becomes even more complicated to devote himself. For example, we have seen Marco Cappai, with a horse with a strange and singular mouth.  Horses with a strange mouth are hard to work. They should be followed individually not in group. However, I have tried to give basic exercises on which I also work a lot during my dressage training. Simple figures like transitions and even work on the other. I was very much in the simplicity with these horses, I certainly could have been working on flying changes,  but I preferred working on easy things. "We could not know by  the  very diplomatic Australian rider  his preference of horses seen duraing the clinic  or what kind of thought he had worked on the riders at the stage" regarding  horses and riders , I wait to see  the jumping work phase to get a complete and global vision. What I can say until now is that I have found here many good and interesting riders who work very well and have seen beautiful horses. I'm happy, the level seems to be really good. "
The second part of the clinic devoted to the show jumping  took place in a very friendly climate and with great high-perfect collaboration. The dressage morning also created an excellent state of confidence and knowledge with the illustrious coach for all. The course  had already been mounted on the large field of the Casale San Nicola club , a very linear course  to enhance quality and above all the supreme sense of rhythm. The test bench of this rhythm, the speeds on which to exercise, was represented by work on two barriers at 22 meters. It was nice to see how the riding is united and speak exactly the same language from one globe to another.
We can not jump everyday with horses. That is why we have to work every day on the barriers. Learn and experiment to stretch and fold the gallop on the barriers. And especially do not start by closing the horse. Let your horses advance. Also put 3 or 4 times. Then you will be able to close. And remind yourself of the right actions adjusting your legs and hands to gather the gallop. In these two simple barriers you can do a thousand and more exercises ... "Two barriers really represented the key to the jump lesson , even as a natural extension of dressage work, because a dresser can work profitably on barriers and cavalletti.
The jumping lesson is really flowing with exciting moments and great motivation even emotional. Chris has a great Energy charge and a very stimulating positivity and enthusiasm that is typical of Anglo-Saxon culture: the group's motivating charge, knocking hands for the pairs  who best known how to interpret the course  or exercise, seek  comfort of the pais or adjust the exercise maybe for a young horse that does not have to be scared. A lot of attention in didactics  and in the teaching phases that, to  the eye of the writer,  has not gone unnoticed.
We've even seen Burghley's winner performing all the course  on  Izar de S'arcaite that was defined by the Australian "this horse is a super super star! It's just the kind of horse I like, with the right blood, head,  ridability, energy "stamina"! It's not possible to enclose on the page all the moments of this clinic that really left a mark in the participants and audiences and organizers.
The international press puts young Australian talent among thinking riders because he  feels and understands every horse and always has a goal and a strategy to achieve. "Let's say, first of all, I have a great passion for horses. I am always talking about the concept of sustainability (it is difficult to translate the term into Italian. We can say that this is the ability to work the horse while respecting the harmony and the nature of the horse itself, ndr). It's easy to forget this concept especially with dressage, because in jumping  and cross country you try to move with the horse in a more natural way. In dressage you have to remember to have fun on the horse, just being happy our companion can do the task we ask him. The horse has to work as if it were alone, effortlessly, with pleasure, with the desire to do, as if it had no bridle , without forcing or extreme repetition of that movement. A good trainer should make it all easy and simple and the horse should give the impression of doing it all by itself. "  In conclusion, we trust that this for Chris Burton was the first time in Rome "I visited the city of Rome yesterday for the first time in my life! I hope to go back to other clinics in the future. It's really a great place to be able to teach. "
